From February 26-March 1, a team of experts from The Joint Commission conducted a thorough inspection of Memorial to determine our safety and quality of care. We are extremely proud to report that we earned Accreditation for another three years with what our surveyors described as an outstanding, knowledgeable and engaged staff providing high quality care in a facility that is exceptionally safe and well-maintained.
Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission (TJC) seeks to continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value. TJC accredits and certifies more than 21,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States, including hospitals and health care organizations that provide ambulatory and office-based surgery, behavioral health, home health care, laboratory and nursing care center services. An independent, not-for-profit organization, TJC is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.
