Hired in 1999, left to University Medical Center and returned in 2017.

It is a perfect position for me. In 21 years, I have worked med-surg, telemetry, endoscopy and 10 years in the ER. The float pool was offered to me when I applied to come back to MMC in 2017.

What was your motivation for a career in healthcare?

I have always considered myself a caregiver since I was young. Being a nurse is a dream come true.  I truly love being a nurse.

Being available for my patients when they need help or assistance through the entire shift.  I try to make an effort to help fulfill their goals for the day.

How would you describe your role’s responsibilities?

I describe myself as dedicated and proud to provide my patients with the best care possible.

In what areas do you help patients?

I help all my patients in each and every area needed.

What are some of your interests outside of work?

I happen to have a family that enjoys spending time together. I have grandchildren that I enjoy taking care of on my days off, including a set of twins born two months ago.

What is your favorite part about working for Memorial Medical Center?

I have worked at Memorial for long time. I am confident enough to approach any member of management, including human resources, with any concern or complaint knowing they will hear what I have to say. I think everyone is recognized for the hard work and dedication for the most part. I think Memorial Medical Center is the best hospital in town.
