How long have you worked here at Memorial Medical Center?
I have worked for Memorial for 4 years.
How did you come into this position?
I have worked the Observation Unit for some time and when Staci LauTaylor was hired as the Director, I applied here at Memorial.
What was your motivation for a career in Healthcare?
Growing up I always wanted to work in the hospital. The fact that I like staying busy and taking care or people, nursing was the perfect fit for me.
What is a typical day like for you?
A typical day is always busy, quick pace and think on your feet.
How would you describe your role’s responsibilities?
My roles include regular nursing duties, taking care of patients, helping my fellow nurses with patient needs, scheduling, coordinating with doctors and work with the patient’s family for PT care.
In what areas do you help patients?
I mostly help patients in the Observation Unit (6th floor) and anywhere care is needed.
What are some of your interests outside of work?
I generally enjoy being outside doing yard work, swimming, and barbecuing with my family.
What is your favorite part about working for Memorial Medical Center?
My favorite part about working at Memorial Medical Center is working with my team there are really good people here. We all help each other, and everyone is willing to help.
