Room Service Ambassador in Food and Nutrition Services at Memorial Medical Center.

How long have you worked here at Memorial Medical Center?

I’ve worked at Memorial Medical Center since November 2018, almost my 2-year anniversary.

How did you come into this position?

After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, I wanted to gain experience in the field and applied here at Memorial Medical Center.

What was your motivation for a career in Healthcare?

My motivation in this career in healthcare is to help people learn how to eat healthy and maintain good health.

What is a typical day like for you?

Immediately after reporting for duty, I check in with my supervisor for my daily assignments, which may include meal preparation, delivering meals to patients, and assisting in department clean up.

How would you describe your role’s responsibilities?

By verifying with the nursing staff to review patients order to ensure patient safety, ensuring that the proper foods are delivered and given to the correct patients as ordered, and confirming patient satisfaction with their food and service.

In what areas do you help patients?

I help ensure patients comfort and ability to reach their food. As well as answering any questions related to their meals.

What are some of your interests outside of work?

I enjoy playing tennis, running, going on walks, exercising, and weightlifting. I also enjoy listening to music, dancing, and spending time with my family.

What is your favorite part about working for Memorial Medical Center?

I enjoy working with such friendly, hard working and helpful people. My favorite part of the day is meting with patients and if possible, making their day a little easier.
