Additional exciting news from the awards show was ICU nurse Karl Ngoye being named Soar Team Member of the year by the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce.
The honor is awarded to a person who best reflects a spirit of service through exemplary and outstanding impact to the community. Karl's unwavering passion for helping other people is an inspiration to us all.
"Volunteering your time is one of the best things that can happen to a human being,” Ngoye said. “For me, I do what I do, not because I need any kind of recognition, I do what I do because it is something I think it is the right thing to do and it is something I am passionate about.”
