Financial Assistance for Insured Patients
At Memorial Medical Center (MMC) we believe that everyone deserves access to high quality healthcare — regardless of their ability to pay. Even if you have health insurance, you may still qualify for programs that reduce your out-of-pocket costs. Our team is here to help you understand your options and access available support.
We provide guidance in line with state and federal requirements, including the Patient Debt Collection Practices Act, the Healthcare Funding Act, and the Indigent Hospital and County Health Care Act. MMC also fulfills its legal responsibility to assist patients who meet the state’s definition of indigency.
Understanding Your Out-of-Pocket Costs
For insured patients, your deductible, copayment, and/or coinsurance (if applicable) are due at the time of service. If you are scheduled for a non-emergency procedure or surgery, we may contact you before your appointment to provide a cost estimate and to collect any applicable deductible, copayment, or coinsurance that is required by your insurance plan. To understand your particular benefits, please contact your insurance company and consult your plan benefits.
