ER WAIT
iOur Anticoagulation Management Services is an outpatient clinic comprised of nurse practitioners and registered nurses who specialize in anticoagulant (also sometimes referred to as blood thinners) management. Anticoagulants are for people who have blood clotting problems due to thrombosis or other disorders that increase the likelihood of blood clots-including atrial fibrillation, cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Allowing Memorial Medical Center to perform your anticoagulation management gives your Cardiologist or Primary Care Providers more time to discuss your additional needs.
The AMS clinic also provides perioperative anticoagulation management (also referred to as “bridging therapy”) to individuals on medications such as Warfarin (Coumadin) that need to undergo surgery. The clinic also offers home testing kits.
A physician referral is required to make an appointment, so please be sure to ask your Cardiologist or Primary Care Provider.
