Cardiac Rehabilitation
Memorial Medical Center offers a fully equipped Cardiac Rehabilitation Center staffed with highly qualified team members. Our overall goal is to improve the strength and stamina of our patients so that they may return to their own daily, independent routines.
We provide an individualized exercise program that will extend over 12, 24 or 36 one-hour sessions depending on the degree of need. We have a variety of exercise equipment that can provide accommodation for patients with range of motion limitations.
You may qualify for Cardiac Rehabilitation if you have experienced any of the following:
- A heart attack (also known as a “myocardial infarction”) in the past 12 months
- Coronary Bypass Surgery
- Valve replacement or repair
- Angioplasty or “stent” placement
- Heart transplant
- Stable chest pain (also known as stable angina)
- Congestive heart failure
Cardiac Rehab is a team effort and it is for this reason we will discuss all aspects of care from medication regimens, dietary routines, and access to community resources and offer opportunities for improvement in a non-judgmental and realistic approach. Cardiac Rehab is also an excellent opportunity to surround yourself with others who have gone through similar experiences.
Please talk to your doctor if you are interested in joining our Cardiac Rehabilitation program. Most insurance plans partially or fully cover the cost of this service, all you need is a referral and we can schedule your appointment.
NOTE: In order to protect our patients, please bring your COVID-19 vaccination card with you to your first appointment.
