Joseph Ortiz, MD

Dr. Joseph Ortiz is a native New Mexican and Las Cruces high school graduate committed to womens health in the Mesilla Valley. He is board- certified and a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Ortiz has proudly practiced in the Mesilla Valley since 2003 and performed the first laparoscopic total hysterectomy in the region. He focuses on minimally invasive methods for hysterectomy and other gynecological surgeries. He also loves providing prenatal care, particularly for high-risk pregnancies. In his spare time, Dr. Ortiz focuses on his family, which includes three children and three dogs. He has served as the voluntary medical director at High Desert Womens Health (formerly Turning Point) since 2024.
