Position Classification Department Requirements
Lab Assistant PRN Laboratory High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be a graduate of an accredited phlebotomy, medical assistant, certified nursing assistant training program/school or possess at least one year experience working as a phlebotomist. Must be able to work rotating shifts.
Patient Care Tech FT-.9 Perinatal Services High school diploma or equivalent required. Current New Mexico CNA certificate or documented completion of med/surg coursework from an accredited registered nursing program with a "B" average required. CPR certification required. Duties include stocking patient rooms and OB operating rooms, taking patient's vital signs, and working as a phlebotomist and scrub tech. Successful candidate must be willing to train as a phlebotomist and scrub tech within six months of hire date. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. This is a night (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) shift position.

Attendant PRN Environmental Services High school diploma and previous housekeeping experience strongly preferred. Successful candidate must be able to read, write, and understand English and be able to walk/stand for up to eight hours. Must be willing to work rotating shifts.

Tumor Registrar FT-1.0 Cancer Treatement Center Candidate must possess at least one year experience working as a Tumor Registrar and be certified as a Tumor Registrar. Registrar will identify, register, and maintain records of patients treated for cancer at MMC's Cancer Treatment Center.

Current New Mexico CNA certificate or documented completion of med/surg coursework from an accredited registered nursing program with a "B" average, licensed as an E.M.T. or military medic. Periop Care Tech FT-1.0 Operating Room High school diploma or equivalent required. Periop Care Tech is responsible for the transportation, cleaning, and assisting in the preperation of cases in the Operating Room. This is an evening shift position.
Room Service Ambassador PRN Food and Nutrition High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful candidate must have two years customer service experience. Must be able to read, write and understand English in an understandable manner and be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Room Service Ambassador will be responsible for taking food trays to the various nursing units and distributing trays to the patients. Must be able to communicate well with patients and their family members, team members, and physicians. Must be able to work days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Room Service Operator FT-.8 Food and Nutrition High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful candidate must have two years customer service experience. Must be able to read, write and understand English in an understandable manner and be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Room Service Operator will be responsible for talking to patients regarding their diets. Must be able to communicate well with patients and their family members, team members, and physicians. Must be able to work days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Billing Representative FT.8 Memorial's Home Health High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess two years healthcare billing experience with knowledge of finance and/or accounting principles and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance rules and regulations. Two years working in a home health care setting strongly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Surgical Svcs. Attendant FT-1.0 Operating Room High school diploma or equivalent. Attendant will be responsible for cleaning the Operating Room, ASU and PACU. Must be able to communicate the language in an understandable manner be able to lift, push, stand for up to eight or more hours. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. This is a 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m shift position.

Secretary FT-.8 Patient Management High school diploma or equivalent and one year secretarial experience working in a business/medical office setting required. Previous experience working in a medical staffing office strongly preferred. Successful candidate must be able to type 40 wpm and possess excellent computer skills. Secretary will be responsible for typing meeting minutes, preparing packets, and file management. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and possess excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task required.
Radiology Patient Escort Temp-1.0 Radiology High school diploma or equivalent required. One year patient care experience strongly preferred. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Requires frequent stooping, carrying or pushing loads long distances often up to 40 times per day.
