 It has been a stellar year at Memorial, and we take tremendous pride in the accomplishments of 2017. We have seen significant advancements in technology and quality of care, which have been awarded and recognized nationally. Some of these accomplishments include our best semi-annual hospital inspection in 20 years by The Joint Commission; a Grade A rating by Leapfrog®, an independent hospital safety oversight organization; re-accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, making us the only accredited cancer program in southern New Mexico; Chest Pain Center re-accreditation; and Total Joint Replacement Program re-accreditation by the Joint Commission. We have invested millions of dollars in new technology and equipment to be able to provide our physicians and surgeons and their patients the latest techniques and safest care possible. While technology is important, we realize that our people are what make Memorial unique and exceptional. That is why we have assembled one of the finest Surgical teams, finest Orthopedic teams, and finest Ear, Nose and Throat teams in the region. We have opened up a new Weight Loss Practice and a new Arthritis Practice with highly trained and experienced physicians. And, we believe our nurses are second-to-none in terms of compassionate, professional care.
